Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and equipment before patient appointments.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with chair-side support.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist.
- Manage patient records, update medical histories, and prepare treatment plans.
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and guide them through check-in processes.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control (OSHA compliance).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
