Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to assist our experienced dentists in delivering top-tier oral healthcare services to the Detroit community.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures with chairside support.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs as directed.
- Manage patient records, including updating charts, scheduling appointments, and handling insurance verification.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma from an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform fine motor tasks with precision.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
