Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and maintain digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization processes
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory management
- Deliver patient education on post-procedure care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate scheduling and maintain accurate patient records
- Supervise dental assistants-in-training when required
Qualifications
- Accredited dental assistant certification or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years clinical dental assisting experience
- DANB certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional patient communication and chairside manner
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-specialty environment
