Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument handling and patient monitoring
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure diagnostic quality
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Manage patient records and scheduling using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental materials for efficient workflows
- Provide chairside assistance during restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
