Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, crowns, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and safety
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas following OSHA protocols
- Manage patient records using digital software (Epic experience preferred)
- Take impressions and fabricate temporary crowns/caps as needed
- Provide post-op instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Order inventory and maintain efficient supply management
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA required)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Proficiency with digital radiography and dental imaging
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage patient anxiety
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
