Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs accurately
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain digital records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Order supplies and inventory management for clinical operations
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Kansas
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong communication skills with ability to put patients at ease
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
