Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure optimal comfort throughout treatments
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical cases
- Perform digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging with precision
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments/equipment
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software systems
- Provide chairside assistance during crown/bridge placements and implant procedures
- Coordinate patient flow and assist with front desk operations when needed
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- Tennessee dental radiography license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital imaging and practice management software
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
