Responsibilities
- Perform chairside assisting during dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Manage infection control through sterilization of instruments and equipment maintenance
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures
- Assist with patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charting using Eaglesoft software
- Support front desk operations including scheduling, billing, and insurance verification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary – paid training provided
- Ability to obtain Nebraska Dental Assistant Radiography certification within 6 months
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise instrument handling
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Must pass background check and pre-employment health screening
- Willingness to complete CPR certification during training period
- Reliable transportation required for clinical rotations
