Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. In this role, you will assist our clinical team in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Operatory: Set up dental instruments, chairs, and equipment for patient procedures according to sterilization protocols.
- Patient Care: Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by handing instruments, retracting tissue, and applying suction.
- Radiography: Take and develop dental x-rays (training provided) and perform other diagnostic imaging tasks.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection prevention and sterilization of tools.
- Patient Education: Explain post-operative instructions, oral hygiene techniques, and treatment options to patients in a clear, friendly manner.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update charts, and schedule appointments efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Training: Willingness to complete paid on-the-job training program.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with a warm, patient-centric demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow strict protocols and maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 lbs).
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license (optional but preferred for office errands).
