Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument transfer and suction control
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain infection control protocols
- Take dental radiographs and assist with patient education
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments using Dentrix software
- Order supplies and maintain inventory of dental materials
- Perform lab tasks including pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary – training provided!
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
- Valid Virginia driver's license and reliable transportation
