Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, restorative treatments, and cosmetic procedures
- Perform chairside support with precise instrument transfer and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures exceeding OSHA standards
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging using advanced Sirona systems
- Oversee patient scheduling, recall systems, and electronic health record management (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Excellent knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain current)
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical environments
- Spanish bilingual preferred
