Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Monitor and remind clients to take prescribed medications at scheduled times.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, and provide emotional support to reduce isolation.
- Household Support: Prepare nutritious meals, assist with light housekeeping, and do laundry as needed.
- Vital Monitoring: Track and report changes in client health, weight, and behavior to the nursing supervisor.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, and social events.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to client calls for assistance and follow safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CNA or HHA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or personal care is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Driving: Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Compassion: Genuine patience, empathy, and a desire to help the elderly or disabled.
