Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with eating when necessary.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Charge Nurse or Supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Document patient care activities, including shifts, observations, and interventions, accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (or willingness to obtain through our training program).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients as needed.
- Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
