Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and concerns.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing personnel.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA certification/license required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong compassion and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health record documentation.
