Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques
- Document patient care accurately and maintain electronic health records
- Support daily living activities and promote patient independence
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must hold or obtain Nebraska CNA certification within 90 days
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Pass background check and drug screening
