Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument transfer, suctioning, and patient preparation
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Take and develop dental X-rays following safety protocols
- Manage patient scheduling, recall systems, and front-desk operations
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Maintain strict infection control and OSHA compliance standards
- Support digital record management and practice software systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary – training provided!
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn dental software
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
