Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, and collect lab specimens
- Manage electronic health records and maintain patient confidentiality
- Administer injections and perform basic lab tests under supervision
- Schedule appointments, handle phone triage, and process insurance forms
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- CPR/BLS certification (will provide training if needed)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
