Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient prep, specimen collection, and vital sign monitoring
- Perform administrative duties including appointment scheduling, medical record management, and insurance verification
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Facilitate patient communication and education regarding treatment plans and medications
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to comfort anxious patients
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS/CPR certification (training provided if needed)
