Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform vital signs checks and collect patient specimens for lab testing
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and medical documentation
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Sterilize medical instruments and maintain exam room cleanliness
- Schedule patient appointments and handle basic billing inquiries
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
