Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient examinations, injections, and wound care
- Perform vital sign checks, EKGs, and phlebotomy while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Manage patient flow through efficient rooming, documentation, and appointment coordination
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Process lab specimens and assist with basic diagnostic testing procedures
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with diverse patients
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
