Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform vital sign measurements and patient history documentation
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Administer injections and collect specimens under supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program (or willing to complete within 6 months)
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before hire)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail
- Tennessee certification preferred but not required initially
- Background check and drug screen required
