Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKG procedures
- Administer medications under physician supervision
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Schedule appointments and handle basic administrative duties
- Maintain clean, organized examination rooms and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or willing to complete within 6 months
- BLS/CPR certification preferred (will provide training)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
- Ohio medical assistant registration preferred (will assist with obtaining)
