Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and prepare them for examinations to ensure a smooth check-in process.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments under supervision.
- Lab Work: Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood draws and urinalysis, following strict safety protocols.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule patient appointments, handle incoming calls, and manage prescription refills.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock examination rooms, medical supplies, and instruments to ensure readiness.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; we provide on-the-job training for entry-level candidates.
- Licensure: Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or completion of a clinical externship is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain strict accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
