Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in processes, ensuring accurate data entry into our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with draping and positioning, and by providing instructions.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws, urinalysis, and EKGs, under the supervision of a licensed provider.
- Assist physicians during minor procedures and clinical examinations.
- Maintain a clean and organized examination room, ensuring all medical equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Manage patient files and handle incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory.
- No prior experience required; we are looking for candidates with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with medical software is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
