Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in efficiently upon arrival.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and basic procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis, as directed by a provider.
- Manage patient medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Answer phones and handle front desk administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the healthcare field.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with technology.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
