Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and vital sign monitoring
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Assist with patient education regarding treatment plans
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program (within 6 months)
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) within 90 days of hire
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with healthcare software and Microsoft Office
- Valid CPR certification (will provide training)
