Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient prep, vital sign monitoring, and specimen collection
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling, medical record management, and insurance verification
- Administer injections, EKGs, and basic lab tests under physician supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Utilize EHR systems for documentation and patient data management
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks a plus)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment
