- Process Insurance Claims: Accurately complete and submit medical insurance claims (CMS-1500 forms) to various payers.
- Data Entry: Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information with high precision.
- Follow-Up: Monitor claim status and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Patient Communication: Answer billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies in a professional and courteous manner.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and confidential medical records and billing files in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support Operations: Assist the billing team with daily administrative tasks and report preparation.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: No prior medical billing experience is necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate!
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) and strong typing skills.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
