Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile environments and equipment calibration
- Provide compassionate patient care during blood draw procedures
- Document patient information and specimen data in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and lab technicians to ensure seamless workflow
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA safety standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Valid Florida Phlebotomy Technician certification (training provided)
