Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute personalized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge protocols
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety regulations
- Participate in shift handoffs and team huddles for continuity of care
- Assist in emergency response situations following established protocols
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Current Kentucky RN license or eligibility (compact license accepted)
- Valid BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
