Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Monitor patient vital signs and document clinical observations accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and execute care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, preventive care, and discharge instructions
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, hospital policies, and infection control protocols
- Participate in shift handoffs and maintain detailed electronic health records
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and critical thinking
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Indiana (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited institution
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with commitment to obtain ACLS within 6 months
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for patient-centered care and commitment to continuous learning
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
