Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical units following evidence-based practices
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient assessments accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in shift handovers and team huddles for continuity of care
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction metrics
Qualifications
- Valid Texas RN license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care setting
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
