Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards and facility protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge procedures
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient status to physicians
- Maintain precise medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in emergency response drills and real-life critical situations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited institution
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (EHR)
