Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units using evidence-based nursing practices
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Document clinical observations and care plans in Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient-centered care strategies
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and health maintenance
- Participate in rapid response team activations and emergency care protocols
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license (or eligibility upon graduation)
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Attention to detail with medication administration protocols
