Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with nursing care plans and physician orders
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and hospital safety standards
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN required)
- Active Louisiana RN license or eligibility for immediate licensure
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Passing score on NCLEX-RN exam (or scheduled to take within 90 days)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
