Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care: Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and document patient progress accurately.
- Collaborate with the care team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families: Explain treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care instructions clearly.
- Assist with procedures: Prepare patients and equipment for examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
- Ensure patient safety: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and hospital safety standards at all times.
- Respond to emergencies: Perform rapid assessments and interventions during critical situations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required; PALS preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-centric focus.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
