Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings following evidence-based protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Document clinical observations and care plans using EHR systems (EPIC/Cerner)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care strategies
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge protocols
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and safety regulations at all times
- Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
Qualifications
- Valid California or Texas RN license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited program
- ACLS/BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Completion of clinical rotations in medical-surgical or critical care units
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Basic proficiency with electronic health record systems
