Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner within electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and disease prevention strategies.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN) required; BSN preferred for new graduates.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (may be obtained during orientation).
- Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient advocacy.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and patients as required by the role.
