Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals while accommodating dietary restrictions
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to clinical staff
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain safe living environments
- Assist with mobility and transfers using provided equipment
- Administer prescribed medications under supervision
- Transport clients to medical appointments
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- Active DC Home Health Aide certification
- CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Compassionate demeanor and strong communication skills
- Clear criminal background check and drug screen
- Proficiency with care documentation software
