Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments using proper infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision
- Manage patient records using digital systems like Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Inventory and order dental supplies to maintain optimal stock levels
- Provide chairside assistance during complex procedures
- Delicate post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification (RDA/CDA)
- 2+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
