Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance protocols
- Take digital dental radiographs and accurate impressions for prosthetics
- Manage patient flow, schedule coordination, and insurance documentation
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Train new staff on practice-specific workflows and technology
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- 2+ years of clinical dental assisting experience in general practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and current immunization records
- Exceptional chairside manner with strong patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments while maintaining precision
- Knowledge of dental materials, equipment, and sterilization techniques
