Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including restorative and surgical cases
- Implementing strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Managing digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
- Assisting with patient education and post-operative care instructions
- Managing inventory and ordering dental supplies
- Maintaining accurate digital patient records
Qualifications
- New York State Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or DentalWorks practice management software
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and dental ethics
