Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental X-rays and maintain digital patient records
- Manage inventory ordering and supply maintenance for clinical areas
- Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow in the treatment area
- Assist with front desk duties when needed including insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or radiology license (IN state)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital imaging software (e.g., Dexis, Eaglesoft)
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
- Valid Indiana driver's license and reliable transportation
