Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and digital impressions
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Perform coronal polishing and application of sealants
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain clinical supply inventory
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Expanded Functions (EFDA) certification preferred
- Proficiency with digital radiography and CAD/CAM systems
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
