Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist dentists during procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient records and dental software systems accurately
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Provide chairside support during complex procedures
- Deliver post-operative instructions and ensure patient comfort
- Collaborate with hygienists and administrative staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques and equipment
- Strong knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Excellent communication skills with patients and team members
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
