Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform sterilization and instrument preparation following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient scheduling and chairside coordination efficiently
- Implement infection control standards and maintain clinical inventory
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education support
- Assist in digital charting and practice management systems
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in dental imaging software (e.g., Dexis, Sirona)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-volume environment
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends
