Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and dental operatory for procedures, including sterilization and instrument setup
- Assist dentists during complex procedures, including oral surgery and restorative work
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient records using digital charting systems (EHR experience preferred)
- Implement infection control protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate scheduling and inventory management for dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from accredited program (CODA or DANB)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral cameras
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with focus on patient comfort
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Valid Florida dental radiography permit
