Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations through sterilization and equipment preparation
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision and patient comfort
- Maintain accurate patient records using our advanced dental software system
- Implement OSHA protocols and infection control standards for safety compliance
- Provide chairside assistance during emergencies and critical procedures
- Coordinate patient education on preventive care and treatment plans
Qualifications
- Current Alaska Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to adapt to flexible schedules including evenings and Saturdays
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Commitment to continuing education in dental advancements
