Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including endodontics, oral surgery, and restorative treatments
- Manage digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour models for prosthetics
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain patient safety standards
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies efficiently
- Provide chairside assistance with patient comfort and education
- Coordinate with front desk on patient flow and scheduling
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or registered in Louisiana
- 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital imaging software (e.g., Dexis, Eaglesoft)
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
