Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls and determine medical urgency using standardized protocols
- Provide accurate clinical guidance to patients via phone triage system
- Document patient interactions in Epic EHR with precision and timeliness
- Coordinate care between patients, providers, and ancillary departments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license (required)
- BLS/ACLS certification (current)
- Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience
- Triage or emergency department background preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills in diverse populations
